Wild Beauty

I was walking along one day and saw a field. It was an amazing field, full of the most beautiful wild flowers I had ever seen. All colors; red, pink, blue, turquoise, yellow, green, mint, lime, orange, white, black, grey, purple, violet. Every color you could imagine. And it stretched on and on for miles and miles. Then I noticed them, stepping stones. As if they were placed there with such care. And so beautiful as well. Each a different color and shape, with a word scrolled on it. All written in the cutest handwriting. So I decided to follow the stepping stones. See where they would lead me. I walked on what seemed like a thousand stones, but it only took me a very few minutes. And what do you think awaited me at the end of my journey? The most beautiful little quaint cottage I had ever seen! And covering it on all sides were wild flowers, just like the ones in the field. And as I stood there staring at the house and its flowers, I was left to wonder, who lived here? What was the purpose of all this amazing, wild, beauty?

My writing

Sad and lonely, he walked into the room.
There she was, smiling.
A big, bright smile that illuminated the whole room.
It filled his heart with joy and his soul with love.
She had been away for far too long, he thought.
But she’s back now looking more stunning than he remembered.

I'm Back

Hey!! I'm back. Well actually at first I got kind of overwhelmed with what to post and when to post it. Then time got away from me and then I just kinda forgot about my blog. Well, I'm back now. So here goes..

What have I been up to? I've been doing art journaling, cooking, watching tv and movies, and now I'm back into crocheting. Have some pictures of what I've been doing. Not gonna show one thing cause it's a Christmas present for a friend and she might look at the blog and don't want her to see it. I did a cowl for myself, then started a lapghan for myself, then made my friends gift, now I'm working on my Nana a shawl for Christmas. After her shawl is done I plan on working on charity crocheting. Not sure where I'm gonna donate, just gonna make some stuff then see about where to donate.

I've also been spending a lot of time on Ravelry. I've joined some groups on there and found some patterns I wanna do.

I've also been watching some podcasts on YouTube.

#ArtJournaling #MixedMedia #MailArt

In my previous post I told you about my creative pursuits. Well, lately I have gotten into doing mixed media art and mail art. Basically, you just use different media, like paint, ink, paper, stamps, fabric, and such and make art. Mail art is just what it sounds like art you mail. In short you put art on your envelope or package. I have only sent one piece of mail art so far. I like to send to other creative people or mixed media artist. So when I sent my mail art I did art on the envelope as well as sent some art and creative things. Some of the things I sent included coffee filters colored with food coloring, painted playing cards, paper towel that had paint and food coloring on it, and another painted playing card I wrote a note on. I really enjoy doing mixed media art. It doesn't have to be perfect, actually I think it look better the more imperfect it is. Here are some examples of my mixed media, and some videos on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqXXo7dsyG8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiFLmUcDvo0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umreRWWxKyA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40Mln6-PIbg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85teGwawwaA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0Z1K3BYWQE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1KYoFGb-aM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0qDu8wBEmw

Who I am...

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil. 4:13

I love God, my family, friends, and the small Georgia town I have always called home. I am starting to recognize the above verse more in my life. On my own I may be lacking, but through Gods help I am strong enough to do all the things I am fearful of. I enjoy using my imagination in all my creative pursuits. Some of which are crocheting, sewing, art journaling/mixed media, cooking, and writing stories.

Am I crazy or what?!?!

Am I crazy to start a blog?!? Maybe I am, but I'm giving it a shot anyway! So what can you expect to see here? ...my faith, family, crafts, books and more! Here you will find me.
